Is it irrational to tell my boyfriend he needs to tell his ex girlfriend to BACK OFF?!?

damn girl! this is quite the sticky situation... basically i think that he has no respect for you. obviously since he cheated on you in the very first month, but like the others said a little simpler: he cheated on his girlfriend of A YEAR who thought he was "the one" and had NO idea that he was cheating. she was gonna MARRY him!!! what's gonna happen when you end up having the same thing happen to you? you're gonna feel like a dumb*ss for waiting for his pathetic *ss while he was in iraq. ESPECIALLY if he ends up going back with her. he just sounds completely untrustworthy and disrespectful. Basically, he is feeling no shame for cheating on you with her (or vice versa) because he is still talking to her, even if it is platonic. i completely agree with you that he is is not as committed as you in this relationship. think about it this way: how would you feel if he cheated on you with some random girl and was talkin to her again??? you would totally think he's trying to cheat again wouldn't you, otherwise WHAT is the reason for him to talk to her AT ALL?? He should know that she would COMPLETELY understand why he CANNOT talk to her if he is still with you and wants to have a successful relationship with you, and NOT be worried about HER feelings. He's ridiculous you need to leeet him gooooo before he really breaks your heart. Sorry if this is harsh but this whole thing just sent up huge red flags and you need to GET OUT!
