What phone should i get!!!?

okay so i have had a sony ericsson k850i for a while now and its breaking down and old and chunky so time for a new one... i would like to get another similar phone as i like the simplicity and small size of these types of phones (candybar) i was thinking the SE elm it is quite similar i value a good camera which it has (5mp) and it is alot sleeker than my previous phone....... but here is my dilema i also have an ipod touch which i love to use, but my dad wants my ipod so he can do his stocks and fiddle fart and whatever, and he told me just to get a smartphone that has music and phone together... now i dont really want to do this as i like my communication separate from my music device but i should at least entertain the idea soo what phones are somewhat compact play music great(3.5mm headphone pref.) and fucnction for a great communication device..... also most my use of the phone is text but i do need calling..........and please dont say iphone i want to buy something that is prepaid for sim(gsm) i know it can be expensive but like my price range is up to around $350 - $400 cad
