I got my proposal with an actual ring...now what?!?

A few days ago i posted a question asking if I was really engaged or not because the cirstances in which I thought I was engaged was completely confusing. Well, my boyfriend ended up getting his father's mother's ring (which is a custom of their family) and he knelt down on one knee and he proposed in front of his mom, dad, sister, and brother...and kitty. Well, I said yes. The problem is, now that we are officially engaged, all of their plans now are featuring me. Being Colombian natives, they had planned on going back to Colombia in about two or three years. I want to go to Colombia with my amazing new family, but I don't know if we are coming back, and if so how long it will take to get to that point. And now there's the issue of the wedding, which will be in about two or three years. Should we get married before we leave, with mostly my family in my native land, or should we wait until we get to Bogota, Colombia with most of his family and his native land? I really don't know what to do and I don't want to bring any of this up to my fiance yet, because he's kinda having a hard time with some nonrelated stuff and I don't want him worrying about my worries just yet. Any help?
